Hi everyone, Angus Pryor here, multi award winning practice growth specialist. Now I am in the Philippines now at the lovely Shangri-La, it is a beautiful resort. And I’m here at a business conference. I’ve just heard a speaker a guy called David Carney, who I think said something very interesting. He said, your business is either growing or it’s going. Now in health care, which is my jam. That is absolutely the case, the number of health care professionals entering the market is growing much faster than the Australian population is growing. So, you’re either growing or you’re going and one of his comments was that what you need to be doing is focusing on growing the revenue of the business, but also reducing the amount of time and effort for you as the CEO it takes to be able to achieve that and you’re thinking.

That sounds good Angus, how are we gonna do that? And it’s about getting yourself out of the day to day so that the amount of time that you’re spending is at the top 20% most productive of what you do, rather than you know, spending some time here doing $10 an hour activities or $5 an hour activities, but really maximising the time where you’re spending the $1,000 an hour activities. And sometimes that’s for you as a healthcare professional being on the tools. Sometimes that’s sitting back, it’s like putting your feet up on the desk and thinking about, well if my job is to grow the revenue and the business and my job is to spend less time doing it, how am I going to do that? Because sometimes some of those thoughts can be $10,000 an hour activities. So it’s a very simple question. Are you growing or you’re going?
