The two keys to building a massive business. Now look, I wanted to show you something in the background, and then that will help with my little story. This is a wall, assume you can see there’s the floor to work her way up. And of course, it’s a spot on, I guess it’s a beam, you could say, it’s actually kind of hard to do.

Perhaps you’ve got one of those in your house, of course, it’s where people you know, they put their kids up against it. And then I write their name and their age and off they go. And one of the things that I noticed about this is that, for this, you could say this kind of business has blossomed.

The truth is where I am now used to be an Airbnb, like a farm stay. And what happened was many years ago, this has been a my family. You know, I don’t know, who knows, there might be one for me there, you know, when I was a kid, and then the various generations come and it was all in pencil.

But what happened was that as this became an Airbnb, and we had 1000s of people staying here over many years, you can see that it’s really blossomed. And what made me think about it is because there’s some parallels with this, and with business, which is that if, if the goal were to get this massive list of people who are not only the number is growing, but they’re actually growing, so that makes sense.

You know, in other words, I’m sure I didn’t actually look, but I’m sure I could find someone who was, you know, let’s say, a 10, this height, and then at 15, they were that height. So people, people are growing personally, but also the volume is growing. And the two keys to getting this massive business. Drawing a parallel from here, the first of course, is just a start. And to be, you know, to be clear that it’s time to start, and this is what I want to do.

But here’s the second one. There was a presentation where Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are on stage, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, Warren Buffett at various times the richest man in the world. And they said, well, what’s the key to growing a massive business, and both of them in unison said, focus, being super clear on what you want.

Now, the truth is that once you get the things rolling, a lot of this can happen by itself. Now, you would say, Angus, this is not a business. But of course, this is a metaphor. I mean, it started with one height of one person being added there. And then they just added and added and added and as I said there’s two parts. One is the total number of people grew, but also the actual individual growth and of course, in your business, that means maybe they come for a cleaning check once but then the actual expenditure, the production for that individual can grow over time, and the total number of people grow.

So step one, start and step two focus, what is it that you really want? What is it that your goal is an expression that says a manic? Confucius a man who chases two rabbits catches none. So start and focus two keys for building a massive business.
