This week on Winning In Life, Angus Pryor the #1 Google-ranked dental marketer in Australia will be sharing with you about what you’re like as a person.
How are you disposed? Look, my question about how are you disposed is a bit of a wordplay on your disposition, what you’re like as a person, I just wanted to tell you a story. We moved into a new house recently, and we had someone come and do some work for us like, it’s actually a handyman couple.
And they said to us, if the hubby comes into it, and I could be wrong on the numbers, but it was something like if the hubby comes and do it’s $45 an hour. But if the wife comes do it, it’s $50 an hour, and is like, sure, like what’s not allowed, you know, they’re putting up some mirrors and things.
So having two people there. And one of the things that struck me about this is I thought, what an interesting disposition from them, the truth is that the wife was a very sort of happy go lucky person. And she laughed a lot, you know, and very easily, and it just got me to thinking about, you know, our disposition.
I mean, you know, I’d hate to say this, but like, are you a person that sucks the energy out of the room when you walk in there? Because I think, for this person, she would bring the energy to the room, and all of us don’t get me wrong, all of us have got a certain disposition, you know, where there’s some genetics and there I’ve read a bunch of books on this, but it just, it just got me to thinking and are and you know, at one level, oh, my God, why she’s so happy.
And why did she laugh at things that are not funny, but then I thought, well, but she’s choosing a disposition. I mean, maybe she is maybe she isn’t, and like, that’s not a bad disposition. I mean, why not be happier? You know, why not? Why not be more easily amused to things that rather than only sort of laughing, you know, once a day, or once a year?
Anyway, it just got me to thinking about what’s our disposition and actually being more conscious about it actually choosing a disposition that’s happier and healthier. Rather than just sort of, you know, going to the default position, which may be for some of us is great. And maybe for some of us, it isn’t great.
