To sponsor or a sponsor or not to sponsor that is the question.
Hi, everyone, Angus Pryor here, multi award winning practice growth specialist. You know, when you’re looking to market your practice, there is something to be said for engaging with the local community. And as you can see, behind me, there’s signage there from a number of local sponsors. And I’m often asked like, good thing to do not good thing to do? And the answer is, it depends. I noticed, for example, that for the pizza place here, this is quite good. They’ve said, what time they’re open, they’ve said, it’s seven days a week delivery to 40 Ks, from the local area. And that’s good if it’s pizza, because that makes sense. For other people, we’ve got an electrical guy here, and he’s got his phone number, that’s probably less common that people are going to reach out, but I like it. On the other hand, this one is much more of a branding play. The question is for your healthcare practice, what should you be doing. And I would say, if you are hoping that this thing alone is going to be the silver bullet, I guarantee you it won’t be. But if it’s part of a bigger picture, and you’ve got some good branding in the local area, where you’re strong, certainly in the digital space, and you want to do some sponsorship of a local club, I actually don’t mind that.
But I don’t want to just do that. What I want to do is to be able to engage with him more deeply so that the, the local sports club, those people are seeing your messages over and over. If they’ve got a newsletter, I want to be in there every time. I want to make sure that the ideal patients for your practice are connected with their sports club, like a quick glance over here. That is mainly adults, I’m going to say in their 30s Maybe in their 40s and a bunch of young kids, okay, that’s not the target market for your practice, then you shouldn’t be doing this at all. So, to sponsor or not to sponsor the answer, unfortunately, is it depends.
